What an incredible time we are living in. Recently, I had the distinct pleasure of attending an automotive roundtable discussion whose panel included some big names from within our industry. One of them, President of a large automobile manufacturing company, made the comment that he was excited about what was going on in our industry because we were being given the chance to “Live History.” Wow, with all the hardships and challenges in our industry today what a wonderful outlook. When you consider how many times we’ve all heard about the “Great Depression” from our parents and grandparents, which caused it to seem more like urban legend than actual history, you realize that he is right, this is indeed “History in the making” and will be talked about for generations. Which leads to the big question, what do you want to be able to tell the next generation about you and your business and what you did during the economic meltdown of 2008/2009?
